Caucasian Albania was a ancient state occupying most of the territory of present-day Republic of Azerbaijan and southern Dagestan. In accordance with Strabo, Pliny the elder, Plutarch confirm that until the fifth century AD these terrirtories were part of Armenia, Kura was in the northern frontier of Armenia so it seperated Caucasian Albania.

History Edit

Caucasian Albania was founded around the second or first BC, Strabo had mentioned it consisted of 26 tribes. The Albanians had resisted the Roman armies, so it is thought Caucasian Albania was independet until 5th century AD.
